Marketplace by Rustan’s brings finest wines in World of Wine Fair

Beginners, connoisseur, experts, and even wine makers themselves can all meet at Shangri-La Plaza Grand Atrium from 29th September until the 1st of October for The World of Wine to celebrate all the flavors of the finest vineyards available in the Philippines. All of the festivities moves in-store until the 8th of October.

Vineyards and their experts from premium wine-growing regions coming from Australia, France, Spain, and Argentina will be bringing their best bottles to the fair with their expertise to boot to share the distiction of each bottle over each region, understanding how wine is made, and the background of each wine-making company.

A series of talks are also scheduled facilitated by the winemakers themselves from talking about ‘Understanding Bordeaux Wine Region’ by Laurent Barrier from Chateau Pey Mallet in France on 29th September at 2PM, while Christopher Buckland-Smith from Wales Overland will be talking about ‘Argentina and Chile: A Tale of Conquistadores, Oceans, and Mountains’ at 4PM on the same day.

The 30th of September sees Anthony Murphy from Trentham winery in Australia talking about ‘Varietals of Eastern Australian Wines’ at 1PM; ‘The Rise of Wine Tourism’ by Laurent Mery from Chateau Lamonte-Bergero in France at 3PM; and ‘Terriors of Mendoza’ by Pablo Aranda Hynes from Grupo Penaflor in Argentina at 5PM.

Finally, on the 1st of October, Elena Hernandez from Tempore winery in Spain talks about ‘Spanish Diversity in Culture and Traditions from North to South’ at 2PM; Mark Davidson from the Tamburlaine winery in Australia will teach about ‘Organic Wines and How to Make Them’ at 4PM.

Special offers and activities await visitors with a 10% discount on featured bottles of wine exclusively available at the fair, and a 15% discount for purchases of six bottles or more. A single receipt purchase of Php 5,000 and above earns a raffle ticket to win the very exclusive, never open to the public, trip and overnight stay at Chateau Lamothe de Huax in France.
