Teavana, Starbucks’ take on a modern tea experience brand to Asia, has just introduced a new tea lover experience in the form of Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas.
How? By letting us experience handcrafting the brand the entire way. To re-imagine tea, Starbucks went through a very personal journey with us from hand crafting our own canvas pouch minimally adorned with iron on patches. A design your own challenge went underway looking for the top 5 most creative.
Even further, we got to make our own Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas expertly assisted by the same baristas we trust with our daily Starbucks orders and favorites. You’d think it’d be as simple as throwing things in as they make it seem so easy. Turns out, the whole experience begins with carefully measuring the servings with just their eyes.
“We want our customers to experience tea like they’ve never imagined. Drawing our inspiration from a love of tea in Asia and from of popular new flavors. This year, Starbucks takes innovation in flavors and texture to the next level with a unique Frozen Tea platform to satisfy the growing sophistication of consumer preference,” said Keith Cole, head of marketing for Starbucks Philippines.
These new and refreshing takes on tea are icy-smooth, hand crafted, and are combined from the finest Teavana teas and botanical blends with premiu. Ingredients like Kyoho grapes on the Chamomile Frozen Tea and the pomegrenate pearls under the Hibiscus Frozen Tea.
The Starbucks experience, too lets us discover how each drink is made from the portion of the ingredients that make up each Starbucks Frozen tea drink by letting us make our own drinks.
Turns out that, through Starbucks’ own research, that “consumers in Asia continue to gravitate towards beverages with textual and visual appeal, which has led to a growing interest in frozen products. Moreover, consumers are increasingly exploring the the world of tea through flavors and variety, with preference shifting towards botanical teas such as herbs, fruits, and spices,” said Davina Patel, global food and drink analyst at Mintel.
The new drinks did play on the textures from the soft grape puree aloe sets the tongue for the icy blended chamomile tea and finishes eagerly with the Kyoho Grape and the syrup that sits on top.
Tart-y will define the Hibiscus Tea blended with floral notes and tropical flavors properly balanced with pomegranate pearls that throw a burst of sweetness underneath the base tea.
