If anyone ever needed proof that Filipinos are crazy for online shopping, this is it. Shopee 9.9 Mobile Shopping Day has broken records by seeing a three fold increase in sales within 24 hours of it being launched. In collaboration with over 30,000 sellers, the event amassed a total of 7 million live chats across the region, with shoppers browsing through non-stop deals from leading brands and sellers, including Sandisk, Mustela, Make Up World, Indoplas, and Silka.

Silka’s Head of Sales, Timothy Chuonco, said, “Our orders increased by 18 times on Shopee 9.9 Mobile Shopping Day and we are currently in the process of ensuring that all orders will be delivered on time.
