It was at the Virgin Labfest 4 back in 2008 when pamantasang Hirang (sa Dilim Man) first premiered – a one-act play that places the lens on the idea of brotherhood and the underlying coercion expressed in the narrative of a fictional fraternity existing at the state university.

The story begins when Dan, looking to help out his roommate, Raji, about to undergo initiation rites to be conducted in their own dorm room. Coincidentally, this is the same fraternity that Dan had left 15 years prior. It came as a discovery that the frat alumnus tasked to regulate the activity was his college buddy and now congressman, Chok Villanueva. It is from the odd circumstance of a reunion that reveal a dark past concerning Dan’s own initiation rites to Alpha Mu Tau and how it was not finished.

The play is produced under the requirements of Arts Management Program batch 114 for their Seminar on Arts Management class under the guidance of Eric Dela Cruz. The Arts Management Degree Program trains its students in design and arts management techniques and technologies relevant to the needs of the arts industry today.
