Izakaya Sensu’s newest items are a treat for the senses.
We were started with the dynamite roll that had all the right crunch and all the right explosive parts from the spicy salmon and tuna generously stacked on top peppered with crunchy breading. The spiced mayo hits you right away while the other flavors roll on top giving you freshness over the heat.
The Rainbow Maki worked well in creating texture and mouth melting slices of salmon, blue fin tuna, and white meat fish over the cucumber and avocado slices neatly tucked inside the roll topped with flying fish roe.
The Aburi Uni and Ika Roll had grilled sea urchin on top that was just waiting to melt in your mouth contrasted by cucumber, spring onions, and flying fish roe.
The Chan Chan Nabe-Shake Miso Shabu Shabu served well to warm us up under the rain with a properly seasoned miso soup mellowed by yhe lettuce, carrots, inyoki and shitake mushrooms. The Norwegian Salmon is dunked to cook to your doneness which was soft that easily melts right after indicating fressness and then you are asked to finish with the ramen to complete the meal.
