Get Ready for Binondo: A Tsinoy Musical!

Binondo: A Tsinoy Musical begins during the moon-lit night during the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1971 in the heart of Manila’s Chinatown during the pre-Martial Law Manila and Cultural Revolution-era Beijing. A Filipina night club singer named Lily goes on a journey of love and heartbreak with Ah Tiong; A mainland Chinese scholar who returns to Beijing.

The production features talented actors and actresses who spark great potential from film and tv. Shiela Valderrama Martinez and Carla Guevarra Laforteza as Lily, Arman Ferrer and David Ezra as Ah Tiong, Floyd Tena and Noel Rayos as Carlos, Yela Laurel as Jasmine, Ashlee Factor as Ruby, Ima Castro as Mrs. Dela Rosa, Ana Feleo and Jennifer Villegas as Lourdes, Kay Balajadia and Jennifer Villegas as Mrs. Chua, Dondi Ong as Mr. Chua, Russell Magno as Mr. Zhang and Elizabeth Chua as Mrs. Zhang.

Rebecca Chuaunsu, is responsible for the original story and she also the producer. With the directorial help of Joel Lamangan, musical composition of Von De Guzman, choreography of one of the most important choreographers Douglas Nierras and multi-awarded writer Ricky Lee, she is now able to bring her vision to life.

During one of the fullest moons and the birthdate of the Chinese Deity of Love, hopeless romantic Lily meets her great love in the unusual form of the cynical Ah Tiong. Lily finds herself caught in a love triangle as her childhood friend Carlos confronts his true feelings for her. The story spans two decades in two countries and explores the concept of love overcoming difficult times of racial prejudice and political turmoil while enduring years of waiting and absence.

June 29 at 8pm

June 30 and July 1 at 3pm and 8pm

July 6 at 8pm

July 7 and 8 at 3pm and 8pm

at the Theater in Solaire Resort and Casino.
