Doraemon, in case you didn’t know is a cat-type robot sent back in time to help guide a young boy named Nobita. Through misadventures, Doraemon provides “solutions” to mundane problems with the help of his 4D pocket packed to the brim with odd technologies to aid in daily life. He uses these gadgets to keep Nobita out of trouble, sometimes ones that he started himself. In this manner Doraemon shares valuable principles that is aimed to form Nobita’s character.
Some of these secret gadgets are: The Takecopter- place this handy propeller on top of the head and get ready to fly! The Dokademo door, also known as the Anywhere Door, takes you where you want to go within the limits of 10 light years.
Ultimately, what makes Doraemon a beloved character among kids and the young at heart is that at the end of every (mis)adventure, he never fails to impart values to Nobita whether it be to not abuse a “shortcut” made available by a nifty gadget, or that there are matters that require the long road to accomplish, to name a few. Further more, the character shares honesty, perseverance, courage, family, and respect for elders while still lending a comic flavor to all his adventures.
FROM TRADE SHOW TO ROAD SHOW
The favorite happy, helpful, and heroic character is being made known beyond the confines of anime and TV shows. He continues to spread fun and learning through metro-wide events for elementary students. This school adventure will be a series of shows happening from August to September.
The tour began on 2nd August at UNO High School and on the 24th August at the College of the Holy Spirit. Doraemon is a firm believer in being able to bring out the best in everyone – inspiring to make heroes out of each and every wonder-filled kid full of activities.
Doraemon will also be available to the public through a series of mall tours called ROADventure. This will run from August to December 2017 kicking-off at SM North EDSA – The Block from 7 to 13th August 2017.
The event will showcase the first ever Doraemon “I’m Your Hero” van where the participants can like, shoot, post, and share their photos and unique experience during the event together with the 16-ft Inflatable Doraemon. They will also get a chance to take photos with Doraemon himself!
