I haven’t the slightest why and how a restaurant, Neil’s Kitchen for this case, has the audacity to charge P440 for a bowl of bulalo, albeit generous, that’s chock full of msg.
The only saving grace, if any, for this horridly prepared, overly hyped, hardly a hearty meal, was the tiny buttered vegetables on the side.
The probable attempt at the ‘deconstruction’ of the exprience scatters corn kernels around the rice and even managing to add an awkward layer of smashed potatoes, presumably which came from the stock, on top said rice.
The jig is up, also, for the barbecue chicken with java rice that failed at copying Aristocrat’s version of the same dish right down to the sauce and even the java of the rice.
Neil’s kitchen have absolutely no right in serving customers half-assed creations that cheat most of the way in dishing out ‘homecooked’ meals that offers hardly anything interesting nor anything worth a second look.
